In the early 1950s, 419 Jefferson Street was Fuzzy’s Place. In the late 1950s, it was the Five Forks Soda Shop. They offered plate lunches, sandwiches, and fountain service.
In 1962, 419 was the Wagon Wheel Restaurant. At lunch, they offered a plate with meat and two vegetables plus a drink for 75 cents. By July 1963, the restaurant was completely air conditioned and offered a money-saving dinner every night from 5:30 until 7:00.
